I think it is important to grow and evolve in any artistic undertaking. As cringeworthy as it is I have left all my original posts with all my all original work allowing you to see my artistic evolution.

I have learned a lot from the experience and by leaving it up you can learn from my experience too. Over the last year you can see my progression in working the camera as well as my evolution as a writer.

I want to thank all those who saw my potential and sent me kind words of encouragement. I also want to thank those who provided crucial feedback and constructive criticism which I hope you can see I applied and helped me to grow.

With all that being said there were some strains that I feel I did not do justice when it came to both shooting the video and a detailed review. With that being the case, I have decided to revisit, reshoot and re-review select strains.

First up….Billy Kimber by Garrison Lane 2.0. I have heard that Garrison Lane is associated with if not The Backpack Boys and 5 Points. A couple of names I am seeing everywhere these days.

In their own words from their website: “We are known for our exceptional high-end cannabis products. Our signature flower and pre-rolls hold incredible awards with distinctions from High Times and celebrity fans such as Juicy J, Lil Wayne, OVO, Rob Stone and several others.”

Since its inception, Garrison Lane has taken the industry by storm.  The quality OG has been a main disrupter for the cannabis industry, bringing back flavors reminiscent of the 90s; flavors believed to be virtually dead and long missed by seasoned smokers. The Billy Kimber OG is bringing that back to life.

I would agree with Garrison Lane’s assessment, they have done a very good job of the setting the bar very high for Quality OG with Billy Kimber.

The strain name originates from a character on the Nexflix show Peaky Blinders. With unknown proprietary genetics cultivated in house and chosen from thousands of mothers this OG Kush stands alone.

The buds are a frosty white with orange hairs as you can barely the light green hue under the layers of trichrome crystals of the perfectly manicured buds.

The bouquet is a balance of herbal earthiness and pine complemented by light pepper.

The inhale is everything you are looking for in a top shelf OG, a bunch of great gassiness complemented with light pine notes with a shit ton of expansion.

The exhale takes a different turn with herbal and earthy notes with lingering earthiness.

The high finds a nice balance between head and body. Its a great strain to stimulate your appetite, alleviate pain and detach from reality.

So was it worth the money and would I buy it again? Yes. Very much worth the money and worth trying to set the bar of what of good OG is. I bought it a second time to do the review and didn’t regret it.

Where can it be found? I purchased this jar of Billy Kimber from Cana Harbor in Harbor city.

I grew up in the Bay Area and a couple of years ago I moved to down to SoCal. One of the first things I noticed was how much really high Quality OG there was in SoCal.

Billy Kimber by Garrison Lane is a great example of amazing quality OG. It delivers on the Flavor Profile you expect of an OG being pungent, earthy, gassy and spicy.

Make sure you don’t have much plans other than to eat a bunch of food and sleep because that is what you will doing after you smoke this strain if you are lucky enough to get your hands on it.

Purchased at Maywood Cookies in Los Angeles California
