Christmas Lights by Insane Cannabis Strain Review

Stoner Story

Recently while pursuing Instagram I was watching different random stories and came to Rich The Kid’s story. He had just came back from a Dr Greenthumb run and purchased what I was guessing was a QP.

After showing his purchase the story cut to the toilet filled with what was probably an ounce and Rich saying in the background “this is what I do with shitty weed”.

There are so many things I want to tell Rich. Such as, stop hating on Dr. Greenthumbs. They are dropping some very unique Insane strains that are some of the best out right now like Stuffed French Toast and Christmas Lights which I am reviewing today.

The other thing I would tell Rich the Kid is to follow me on IG so I can help guide him and everyone else to find the best of the best. I would also recommend to anyone with weed they are not happy with to make tinctures, butter, or olive with those flowers.

I am really enjoying making pesto, salad dressing, or just dipping bread in the cannabis olive oil I am making these days. Catch me outside bringing my own olive oil to Olive Garden. Just kidding, I goto better Italian restaurants than OG but I like the phonetic flow of all those olives.

Background

Anyways while haters gonna hate, I feel like it is Christmas in September because Insane dropped their Christmas Lights strain. They nailed the marketing with a festive bag showcasing a Christmas tree with presents underneath. While farming the bag with close up of pine needles dripping that was well done.

Genetics

So when I first saw and smelt the strain, I felt the name was spot on but I did have to do some digging to do to figure out the genetics. At first, my initial guess for the strain lineage was the Christmas Tree strain crossed with Northern lights as the name implies.

However after further investigation, I found the genetics for Insane Christmas Lights to be OG crossed with Afghani crossed with Purple Thai. I am guessing they used a piney OG if not Pine OG too give it that chrismas emmmfff. While noting Afghani is one-half of Northern Lights, so I believe the name works.

Appearance

I found the Christmas theme to continue in the appearance of the buds as they and most other buds look like tiny little trees…. The buds at first appear white because of all the trichome crystals. However, with a closer look, you can see the light green hue of the cola with a few delicate dark green leaves scattered about as well as long orange hairs.

Aroma

The scent of Insane Christmas Lights was a fantastic mix of piney earthy notes complimented by delicate skunky gassy hazelnut notes. I felt the aroma did the name justice and did bring about Christmas memories the way a smell should do.

The Inhale

Now it is time to smoke and the Insane Christmas Lights’ inhale did not disappoint. The inhale was an amazing mix of pungent piney herbal skunkness. At times the inhale reminded me of a good Pine OG while at other times a real gassy skunky Jetfuel OG.

The Exhale

Consequently, I found the exhale to take a creamier smoother turn. I saw that the exhale continued the piney flavor profile while introducing creamy earthy smooth hazelnut notes.

The Smoking Experience

The smoking experience was a pleasant one with the smoke being a little thicker and hanging in the back of your throat. I saw a slight expansion with the flowers.

The High

In addition to a pleasant smoking experience, the high is one to note as it is on the heavier side of things. I do my best to be as productive as possible from sun up to sundown. But smoking Christmas Lights by Insane will put you down. A great high for pain management, insomnia, or celebrating the weekend during a pandemic. πŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎ

So was it worth the money and would I buy it again?

Yes and yes. I found that Insane’s Christmas Lights strain deserves to be top-shelf stain with the hype around it. The unique characteristics of the strain are unlike the other strains out right now which really help set it apart. Similarly, I feel the same way about Insane’s Stuffed French Toast.

Where can it be found?

Insane Strains can be at Dr. Greenthumb locations all around California as well as a good number of other clubs.
