Gelato Plus
The final stop on the Dubz Garden and La Coz Tour this run is the Gelato Plus. You can see from the pictures, I have saved the best for last.
Genetics
Now I am not entirely sure of the genetics of Gelato Plus, but I believe it to be a cross of Runtz and Gelato 41. While these are two very typical strains to cross, they produced a very different outcome. I ain’t never smoked a Gelato like this before.
Appearance of Gelato Plus
The Gelato Plus flowers are some of the most insane I have seen all year. These flowers win the frostiest flowers of the year award, like WTF. I am sure it’s all those trichomes that lead to that expansive exploding smoking experience. Immense trichome crystals completely cover these colas. Deep underneath are deep purples and dark green-hued leaves.
Aroma
The nose of these flowers consists of sweet, creamy floral notes with delicate tropical pineapple notes deep within. Night and day different from the flavor profile, as seen below.
The Inhale & The Exhale
The very aggressive inhale begins with expansive sour doughy notes that are almost guaranteed to make you cough. The exhale evolves to an intense pepper profile with delicate sour notes and a thick smoke that feels like it is still expanding on the way out.
The Smoking Experience
This is some expanding heavy thick smoke but yet still very smooth. Turning these flowers into a concentrate would be next level and would have incredible yield with a fascinating flavor profile.
The High
These flowers deliver a heavy high that are a mix of head and body. Gelato Plus would be ideal for helping with pain relief, insomnia, or PTSD. If you are using it recreationally, be careful; it will induce both the munchies and naps.
So was Gelato Plus worth the money, and would I repurchase it?
Yes and Yes. The flowers were not what I expected, but in no way did they disappoint. The very unique flavor profile combined with the expansive thick, smooth smoke leads to a delightful experience. Keep in mind I do enjoy that sour flavor, and dough notes only add to it.
