Seven years ago all I smoked was Girl Scout Cookies and I am dying for the industry to circle back and grow a bunch of straight GSC.
In the meantime I will take a cross with another strain I enjoy a bunch, Mac.
Cookies recently released a bunch of new drops, one of which is Mac’n Cookies.
Mac’n Cookies is available at most Cookie Locations and dispensaries around the nation.
One thing to note is the new bags Cookies and many other growers have standardized on.
I am all for bags instead of jars and boxes. Reduce waste, smaller footprint, lower costs for the producer but I do think those cost savings should be passed along to the consumer.
The recreational market should be getting more competitive not gouging folks selling some eighths for $80+ out the door.
But let me put away my soapbox and get back to the review.
When opening the bag you are immediately entranced by the complex musky. peppery and earthy aroma with light floral and sweet notes.
The buds are a lighter shade of green covered in tiny white hairs with a few large orange hairs with not as many trichomes as I expected to see.
The inhale is earthy complemented well by delicate peppery notes and even lighter floral notes.
The earthy pepperness is even more present on the exhale taking a musky direction that lingers creating a very full body.
The Mac is very dominant here as we are just getting some light sweet notes from the cookies in the scent but close to nothing on the flavor profile.
The high is a clean, creative, happy one that can help with stimulating appetite, suppressing pain or Mondays.
So was it worth the money and would I but it again? I enjoyed the strain but would of liked to see the sweetness of cookies take a more dominant role in the flavor profile of the cross.
I enjoyed the Insane Mac 11 by Dr Greenthumb a lot more as it had some very unique sweet notes. Keep in mind, this is all subjective. Let me know what you think in the comments below or by commenting on the youtube video.
