I usually like to learn a little bit about a grower and strain before I review it.
While investigating Mike Tyson’s weed endeavor, the Tyson Ranch, I went to the website to see where they are located. There was no HQ Location.
Also worth noting Tyson Ranch identify themselves as a licensing and branding company founded by Mike Tyson not a Cannabis Compnay…..
On a recent trip to DTPG I picked up The Toad by Tyson Ranch.
The Toad is an Indica Dominant Strain and an Exclusive to Tyson Ranch.
The Toad is Chemdawg OG crossed with GSC. I have heard the strain was grown by another grower and acquired after Mike tried and liked it.
Chemdawg, OG Kush and GSC are all some of my favorite strains. ⛽️🔥
When opening the jar you are greeted with herbal, pepper and gas notes with the nose of the flower showcasing the Chemdawg.
The inhale is dominated by the gassiness of Chemdawg complement by lighter sweeter notes from the GSC.
The exhale takes a more earthy, piney, herbal turn with the presence of the OG on full display.
I really enjoyed the high. It was potent and heavy yet very clean. I was able to get my head right and still be productive enough to write this review… Good as an appetite stimulant or for a good time.
So did Tyson Ranch nail it? Would I buy it again? The flowers were top shelf grown the right way. I am bias though as they crossed a few of my favorite strains but I did really enjoy the flowers so yes I would buy it again or try their other strains.
Also worth noting it is very common for sports stars to a ton of branding and licensing. With that said it would be cooler if Mike played a bigger role in the cannabis or we got better visibility to that. I would be happy to come out and shoot a reality TV show for Tyson Ranch to help with that visibility.
