Back before recreational weed was legalized and compliance wasn’t soo difficult, there was some fire strains by some fire growers you could easily find and buy at the club. One of those strains was Jet Fuel.
It came in a black and gold jar and when I would open the jar my neighbors across the street would smell it and think I was gassing up the boat. All the Gassy Dieselly Goodness of my childhood growing up on East Coast Sour Diesel.
So you can imagine how happy I was to see that Cresco released the cross Rocket Fuel. I really enjoyed their Garlic Cookies a lot and was looking forward to trying something else by them.
Rocket Fuel is Face Off OG crossed with Jet Fuel OG. Diving into the lineage there are some heavy hitters which include Aspen OG, High Country Diesel, San Fernando Valley OG and East Coast Sour Diesel.
With those strains in Rocket Fuel’s lineage you can expect some energetic heavy hitting flower.
After opening the jar and first smelling the aroma it comes across a sweet sour grape scent but once you break open the bud you are greeted with pure gassy diesely goodness.
I believe the sweeter notes are from the Face Off OG where the gas notes are from all those OGs and East Coast Sour Diesel.
The inhale took me on a flavor filled journey as I saw sweet, sour, grape/berry notes complemented by light notes of gas.
The exhale took a turn in a more OG direction where I was able to enjoy more sour earthy notes complemented by even more notes of gas
The Face Off OG’s more fruit forward influence on the inhale made this flower much more than the gasiness gangbang I expected and grew to love with Jet Fuel.
As I said earlier the high in the begging can be energetic and uplifting before the more detached euphoria kicks in. This happy and relaxing high is great for stress, pain and depression.
So was it worth the money and would I buy it again? Yes Cresco is reasonable priced and from what I have seen consistently top shelf out doing others at a higher price point.
