Acaiberry Gelato by Sherbinskis Strain Review

Recently I was cleaning out a storage unit and found an old autograph I got at a 420 party. The autograph was of Denis Peron, the activist and businessman who was one of leaders of the marijuana legalization movement.

There are too many of these pioneers that not only California but the entire nation owes so much too. With out the pioneer risk takers we would not be seeing nationwide adoption of cannabis legalization of one form or another.

It is important we learn about how we got this amazing access and the people who helped us get it. I think the thing to remember is that folks like Denis Peron, Dr Frank Lucido and Ed Rosenthal are no different than you and me. They have a passion, worked hard to make change happen and now we all are benefiting from that change.

The other thing that is important we remember and pay respect to are the ever most important growers, cultivators and genetic curators. Especially those that helped create strains that became foundations for the norm. Today I am reviewing a strain by Sherbinskis and he is one of those cultivators and curators who changed the game.

Sherbinskis is a cult-favorite who originated in the Sunset District of San Francisco. Mr Sherbinski is a cannabis tastemaker and curator of many world-famous genetics including Pink Panties, Sunset Sherbert, and the Gelato line — Bacio, Mochi, Acai berry, and Gello.

Today I wanted to review the exotic Sativa-dominant hybrid Acai Berry Gelato strain by Sherbinskis, whose ancestors include the Sherbinskis strains Pink Panties and Sunset Sherbert.

The flowers have the appearance of the top of the top shelf gelato on the market today. The flowering tops are primarily a dark purple hue with patches of light green leaves through out the buds. There is also quite a bit of fully formed trichrome crystals and orange hairs all over the buds.

The scent is a unique blend of musky earthy and floral complemented by light notes of sweet berries.

The inhale was the fantastic fusion of earthy sweet pineapple notes while the exhale maintained the tropical sweet undertones accompanied by delicate berries that lingered on the flavor profile.

These were some of the smoothest smoking flowers I have had recently. I really enjoyed the extremely pleasant flavor filled clean burning white ash smoking experience.

The wasnt to light or too heavy but just right. The Goldylocks of stones that I am always chasing.

So was it worth the money and would I buy it again? Yes and Yes. I was very impressed with these flowers but I guess it makes sense coming from a legend. I am very interested in trying more from Sherbinskis.

Where can it be found? Sherbinskis has their own shop in LA but their flowers can be found at dispensaries all over Northern and Southern California.
