The Original Z Strain
Next up for review is The Original Z strain by Terphogz. The Terphogz have been making many waves with their Zeuz vape system. It is a compact, rechargeable, refillable vape pen made of red transparent plastic that allows you to see the technology underneath.
I have not been reviewing too many Z Terps flowers on the blog, but I have been smoking tons of Z Terp heavy Rainbow Belts recently, so I believe I am ready to do this review.
Genetics
Long before Terphogz were known for the Zeuz vape, they were known for breeding one of the most sought-after flowers, Zkittlez. Terphogz and Third Gen Family created Zkittlez by crossing Grape Ape and Grapefruit around 2015.
Appearance
Zkittlez strains and their crosses are known not to be the prettiest. However, I feel I captured the beauty of these flowers well. I would describe the appearance as a mix of light and dark green hues with long stringy thin orange hairs.
Aroma
My batch of The Original Z had a slightly subdued nose making it more challenging to describe. Nonetheless, once ground up, you are greeted with the expected complex bright mix of sweet fruity grapefruit notes with earthy sour undertones complemented by delicate rose and floral notes.
The Inhale & The Exhale
Sweet funky grapefruit notes with sour diesel undertones make up the inhale. While in contrast, the exhale consists of earthy lingering grapefruit notes. I am finding that the flavor profile is slightly subdued like the nose, and I believe I would enjoy it marginally louder.
The Smoking Experience
The smooth thinner smoke leads to a good smoking experience in both a bong and a joint.
The High
I am finding the high of this strain to be a very clean head high without too much body high. This strain would be ideal for working out, going on hikes, or rising with the sun.
So was The Original Z worth the money, and would I repurchase it?

Where can you find The Original Z by Terphogz?
I am not sure if dispensaries currently sell this strain by Terphogz. Recently I have seen the strain on the Imperial Club menu, a boutique delivery service in Los Angeles that carries only the fire used by many big-name reviewers like The Fire Scale. I plan on ordering from them soon and documenting the experience.
