Baked Huckleberry by Mamey’s Bodega
Next up for review is Baked Huckleberry by Mamey’s Bodega. Mamey’s Bodega is the in-house connoisseur small-batch brand for the boutique delivery service Imperial Club. Mamey’s Bodega has been featured on the blog several times with their Cry Baby Punch, Cocoa Leche, and the classic Mamey’s Milk.
Genetics
The genetics of this strain are unknown. However, it becomes very apparent when you take in the scent of these flowers that they are an excellent blueberry cut or cross. Also worth noting, this is a slightly Sativa-dominant hybrid, but the kind of Sativa I could cuddle up with all night long.
Appearance
The giant colas of this strain are a mix of light bright green and deep dark purple hues complemented by bunches of long bright orange hairs. You will also find a nice layer of trichome crystals and short white hairs all over these top-shelf flowers.
Aroma
The aroma of Baked Huckleberry by Mamey’s Bodega is bursting with sweet, earthy blueberry notes. When digging deeper, you find the most delightful delicate gas notes.
The Inhale & The Exhale
The inhale of the Baked Huckleberry strain by Mamey’s Bodega consists of sweet-tart fruit notes, very forward blueberry notes. In contrast, the exhale sees a somewhat flatter blueberry palette while introducing some delicate bread notes.
The Smoking Experience
I am having a very clean, burning, flavor-filled smoking experience with this strain. It has been a long time since I have had a blueberry cutt this nice. It has been at least two or three years. The strain really reminds me of the old school strains from 215 days.
The High
The high is a heavy body high that was very clean, leaving me very functional and productive yet incredibly stoned. I am out in Texas smoking on this strain, and I am catching myself like wow, I am lit quite a few times. I recommend pairing it with bourbon and barbque, the sweet and spicy balance.
So is Baked Huckleberry worth the money, and will I buy it again?
Yes, and Yes. This strain was by far one of the best, if not the best, Sativa hybrid strains I have had all year. I had a bunch of reviews to do, and this was one of the first strains I chose to review based on the nose alone.
