These days I enjoy both the full spectrum of Sativa and Indica. I feel there is a time for both. Anytime….
I grew up smoking a lot of Sour Diesel and its Step Brother Chem Dawg. Its probably one of the main reasons I lean towards the Dieselly Gassy Strains.
Garlic Cookies also known as GMO Cookies is a great evolution along those lines. Garlic Cookies is Chem Dawg crossed with Girl Scout Cookies.
The Sativa Dominant Garlic Cookies is the best of both worlds, some dieselly gassy goodness crossed with some sweet cakey heaven.
Now while I have had Garlic Cookies in the past, this is the first time I am trying any strain by Cresco.
The first thing I noted was how different of a jar they use. The jar is short and wide with a very wide mouth making it very easy to see and access your buds.
<- Insert Mickeys wide mouth joke here.
The flowers themselves are impeccable, covered in trichomes that look like they could cut you and red hairs that put most gingers to shame.
The nose is a pungent complex aroma of spicy peppery petrol with notes of fruit and coffee and when stepping back the overall garlic notes are present.
I have seen stronger garlic notes in other GMO Strains in the past but there is still a lot of complexity done the right way to enjoy here.
The inhale is peppery with light notes of sweetness and even lighter notes of citrus while the exhale takes an amazing unexpected spicier peppery garlic turn.
The high is calming a pain relief with out being too heavy.
Was it worth the money and would I buy it again? Yes I was impressed with quality and caliber of flowers by Cresco. I would try their strains again and I enjoy a different complex flavor profile which would encourage me to have their Garlic Cookies again.
