Marshmallow OG Flowers, Live Rosin, and RSO
In celebration of the dab holiday 7/10, 710 Labs released a limited Marshmallow OG Flight Pack. The Flight pack included a half-ounce of the flowers, a half-gram pod, a gram of persy live rosin, and RSO, all of the strain Marshmallow OG.
Marshmallow OG Genetics
The Marshmallow OG genetics are up for debate. Some people believe the strain to be a cross of OG Kush and an unknown strain from the bubble gum lineage. In contrast, others point to the Compound Genetics variant, a cross of Chemdawg, Triangle Kush, and Jet Fuel Gelato. I could see both genetic paths getting us to the place we end up with the strain.
The Marshmallow OG Flowers
The Marshmallow OG flowers by 710 Labs are some of the best flowers I smoked all year. The strain has a forward sweet candy nose with gas notes hiding about. The buds are very sticky, sticky like I haven’t seen in years. Sticky like I can’t stop my grinder from getting stuck. I love it.
The colas are a light green hue with lots of deep purples found in the leaves. There are parts of the buds you can’t even see because of walls of perfectly formed resinous trichome crystals. The inhale of the flowers is dominated by gassy pine notes, while in contrast, the exhale goes in a smooth sweet, at times almost creamy, caramel direction.
Half-Gram Pod
Pods are a fancy name for a vape cartridge that you use with a vape pen/battery. 710 Labs have by far the cleanest, sleekest vape pen out. I am really enjoying the 710 Pod and pen, and it has already made long trips so much better. The Marshmallow OG flavor profile comes through so well and packs a potent high. The vape pen hits almost like a dab with so much flavor and packing such a high.
Persy Live Rosin
The term Persy is shorthand for personal, basically the idea of keeping the best stuff for yourself. Persy Live Rosin is usually tier 1, which is the best yield of a hash run. The gas notes are very present with Marshmallow OG in live rosin form. It almost leads me to believe I might be seeing some of the Jet Fuel Gelato Cross. One last thing worth noting, 710 Labs announced a meager hash yield with this strain and will most likely not be doing another run of it. In other words, buy it if you see it.
RSO – Rick Simpson Oil – Tincture
While I am a big fan of tinctures, I usually do not go out shopping for them but instead, make them. Regardless, I am impressed with 710 Labs’ RSO. It reminds me of the tinctures you would see soon after 215 passed with a darker color and full-flavored taste. I need to do more testing, but I have enjoyed it from the testing I have done and found it fast-acting.
Doinks
Doinks are 710 Labs version of a joint. Instead of using a paper filter, they use a piece of rigatoni pasta, leading to their nickname, noodle joints. They were not included in the flight pack, but I did buy some separately, and they were terrific. Gassy sweet candy goodness of all flower fatty joints.
What else does 710 Labs include with a flight pack?
In addition to the half-ounce of flower, half-gram pod, 1 gram of persy live rosin, and RSO, they also include in the S’mores Flight Pack a 710 Labs bucket hat all in a 710 Labs bag.
So was the Marshmallow OG Flight Pack worth the money, and would I repurchase it?
Yes and Yes. The flight pack is an excellent way to deep dive a strain trying it in all forms. It was a great way to try some products I usually wouldn’t buy but fell in love with while trying, like the pods. It was also a fun way to celebrate 7/10. Happy belated 710!
