Pink Frostiez Background
Recently, the internet brought to my attention that two of my favorite brands were collaborating, Frostiez and Pink Dolphin, with Pink Frostiez. As a result, I copped some to smoke, review, and share my experience with you.
The Genetics of Pink Frostiez
According to The Fire Society, Frostiez is the cross of Wedding Cake and Kush Mints. In contrast, if we look back to the original Runtz and Pink Dolphin collab, Pink Runtz, it is the cross of Gelato and Zkittles. Consequently, this leads me to speculate that Pink Frostiez is the cross of Zkittles and Frostiez. At the same time, I have also heard it debated that it is Frostiez crossed with Pink Runtz.
Appearance
The colas are a mix of deep dark purples and light green hues complemented by the perfect amount of orange hairs covered in perfectly formed trichome crystals. All the buds I got were of a nice size and not too dense, they were very fresh and squishy.
Aroma
The aroma reminds me of the first Runtz pop-up I went to on Melrose two years ago and documented on my blog. In essence, the flowers are fresh, top-shelf, and bursting with aroma. In conclusion, I would describe the scent as floral, musky, sweet, candy notes.
The Inhale & The Exhale
The flavor profile will not disappoint. The inhale is a pleasant mix of sweet creamy berry notes. In contrast the exhale went in a more sweet musky candy direction.
The Smoking Experience
These flowers burn to a clean white ash with a very smooth smoking experience. The nose and flavor profile really add to the exotic experience taking this strain over the top.
The High
The high is a bit on the heavier side, packing quite the punch. Be sure to clear your schedule and be ready for naptime when smoking this strain. From a medicinal perspective, I think this strain would be great for pain relief and to fight insomia.
So was Pink Frostiez worth the money, and would I repurchase it?
Yes and yes. Anytime you see a big collab like this one, you can be assured quality through and through.
The flowers are fire and is not a strain to be slept on.
Where can it be found?
I believe Pink Frostiez by Nero’s Cutt and Pink+Dolphin is a limited run collab. Notwithstanding, there is a pop-up this weekend on Melrose. The flyer is below.
