Background
Now don’t let the next level Rick Ross Remix by @ezduzit_music fool you. Sherb Mints is no rapper weed, but instead the original trappers’ weed. Rick Ross was one of the biggest cocaine and crack dealers in Los Angeles and worldwide in the early eighties. On a good day, he would do three million dollars in business.
The Real Rick Ross did not take well to the Rapper Rick Ross taking his name and sued him. The courts found in favor of the rapper based on first amendment rights. The Real Rick Ross has gone on to start his own weed brand, working with The Cure Company with the strain I am reviewing today, Sherb Mints.
Genetics
Sherb Mints by Freeway Rick Ross and The Cure Company is the cross of Sunset Sherbert and Thin Mints. While I have had some hit or miss experiences with The Cure Company’s strains, I have always found their bigger name strains, like Marathon OG, to have a consistent quality level. This strain, at first glance, appears to have that same level of quality.
Sherb Mints Appearance
All the Sherb Mints colas in my bag were on the larger side but were still very light and fluffy. The Sherb Mints buds appear almost white as the layer of resinous trichome crystals and tiny white hairs cover the pale green hue leaves and long orange hairs.
Aroma
The Thin Mints come across as the more dominant strain in the aroma as it comes across as a mix of sweet, earthy, herbal notes complimented by delicate floral notes. When digging deep into the nose, you can find some Sherbert remnants as sharp and almost musky.
The Inhale and The Exhale
Thin Mints dominated the inhale, with a sweet cookie dough flavor profile that slowly evolve, introducing minty undertones. The exhale saw some characteristics of both parents. With the exhale of Sherb Mints by Freeway Rick Ross, I found subtle hints of berry and candy notes combined with some piney OG notes.
The Smoking Experience
I found the smoking experience to be very pleasant. The flowers burned clean, with a delightful flavor profile. Also, it is worth noting this bag of flowers is about four months old, and I found it still very fresh.
The High of Sherb Mints
The high of Sherb Mints by Freeway Rick Ross and The Cure Company was exactly what I needed. A nice head change and body high while remaining very functional with little to no burnout.
So was Sherb Mints worth the money and would I buy it again?
To be honest, I wanted to try this due to the big name tied to it and to see if The Cure Company could deliver on it. And with that being said, I would say The Cure Company did provide a quality product. After trying at least ten of their strains, I would have to say this is one of their better ones.
But to answer the original question, would I repurchase it? With the Marathon OG being an exception, I am usually not a repeat buyer of The Cure Company strains.
Where can Sherb Mints be found?
You can find The Cure Company Strain all over these days, but I usually like to buy it at the source from DTPG. I found the flowers to be fresher and the prices to be more competitive, tehat is until their last price hike.
