Silky Gelato by Mount Burnin Strain Review

Silky Gelato by Mount Burnin 415

The Strain Silky Gelato

Next up for review is Silky Gelato by Mount Burnin. The front of the packaging shows a fantastic hand-drawn portrait of the chicken that we have all fallen in love with. Meanwhile the back of the packaging pays homage to fear and loathing in Las Vegas, capturing a Silky Hunter S. Thompson moment.

Genetics

I am not a hundred percent sure of the genetics, but I believe this to be one of the best 41 cutts currently on the market. A refined immaculate clean cut reminiscent of the Elephants 41 cut.

Appearance

The flowers have an appearance you would expect from one of the better Gelato 41 cutts. The colas have a mix of deep purple, light green, and dark green hues with a perfect layer of trichome crystals and some orange hair scattered about.

Aroma

The nose is a delightful musky, familiar mix of bright lemon and dark cherry notes. Often, with exquisite flowers, the nose alone can be an accurate indicator of both the quality of the flower but also how well the flowers were cultivated, flushed, and cured. By the nose alone of Silky Gelato, you can tell these flowers are next level.

The Inhale & The Exhale

The inhale of this strain is made up of sharp, sweet dark cherry notes complemented by thick woody notes. In contrast, the exhale consists of rich musky earth notes complemented by delicate citrus lemon notes.

The Smoking Experience

I found these flowers to have one of the more enjoyable smoking experiences you would expect from such a fantastic cut of 41. I found the smoke to be silky smooth, with a nice balance between thick and thin smoke.

The High

Like most of the Silky strains, I found the high of this one to be immaculately clean, perfect for any time, day or night. Undoubtedly, I found this strain very enjoyable on vacation, hanging at the pool, hiking in the rainforest on mushrooms, and drinking cocktails on the beach.

So was Silky Gelato worth the money, and would I repurchase it?

Yes, and Yes. If you ever get the chance to meet me in person, ask me to show you my Silky tattoo. Moreover, the Mount Burnin lineup is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Have you tried it yet?

Where can you find Silky Gelato?

Mount Burnin is being distributed throughout both Norcal and Socal, building extensive relationships with dispensaries doing collab as seen with the recent drop of Emberz Silky.
