Smarties by Logan Local

I miss traveling. One of the trips I went on right before the pandemic was to Atlanta. Things were beginning to bubble in jhina and maybe subconsciously I wanted to make it count.

I was staying in a fat corner suite at a plush hotel and found this hole in the wall strip club nearby. Granted I should of gone to Magic City but I was embracing the journey of that moment.

The next thing I knew I was smoking joints in a booth at the front of the stage with booties shaking all around with one of Atlanta’s up n coming rappers on stage performing surrounded by strippers. #zerofux #nocap

A Tuesday in Atlanta. It is that journey of exploration, meeting new people, smoking pot in places you shouldn’t be and finding new flowers that I miss so much. So many cities I miss. Miami, Austin, Portland, New York and Chicago.

And Chicago is where the exotic flowers I am reviewing today are from. Logan Local is a Chicago based organization that is basically like a foot locker for growers who have their shit together, understand safety and quality, and have an unwavering commitment to pursuing a knowledgeable world in and through cannabis.

Logan Local is taking a Connoisseur’s approach to cannabis where it is appreciated and heralded as one would a bottle of wine from Napa valley. They are bringing awareness to genetics and letting people know where their flower is coming from. Something Chicago isn’t offered.

Logan Local is bringing the heat with a maddening lineup of strains including Area41, Peanut Butter Mintz 😱, Baklava, Nerdz and Smarties. Today I am reviewing Logan Local’s Smarties.

Smarties is the cross of GSC and Blue City Diesel. Blue City Diesel is a cross of NYC Diesel and Blueberry.

The flowers appearance is dark forest green in color covered in orange hairs and trichrome crystals.

The Smarties flowering tops have the aroma of earthy sweet black/red raspberries and blueberries. When you break open a bud you are greeted with a very pleasant earthy fruity muskiness.

The inhale was very reminiscent to candy it was named after, a sweet candy tart with a flavor profile that included a mix of berries and citrus.

The exhale took an earthy turn complemented by very pleasant berry citrus with red raspberry notes that linger.

The high was a nice mix of heady high and couch lock. I found it to be a happy chill high perfect for helping with anxiety, ptsd or stress.

So was it worth the money and would I buy it again? Yes and Yes. I really enjoyed the Smarties Strain by Logan Local and am intrigued by some of their other strains especially the Peanut Butter Mintz.
