The Legend of Malachi by Mamey’s Bodega

Next up for review is The Legend of Malachi by Mamey’s Bodega. I have reviewed quite a few different Mamey’s Bodega strains in the past, but this one really stands out as one of the best strains I have tried by Mamey’s. Going even further, one of the best strains I have tried all year.

The Legend of Malachi

The Genetics of The Legend of Malachi

The genetics of this strain are unknown as Mamey’s has yet to release them, but I believe it be a blueberry cutt or cross. One of the best I have ever had. The Legend of Malachi reminds me of a pure blueberry from 20 years ago. While Superdope’s Party Popperz, another current favorite of mine, has a more current gen blueberry twist as I believe it to be crossed with current strains. You need to try both.

Appearance

Everything about The Legend of Malachi is perfect, nonetheless the appearance is just breath taking. The flowers were perfectly grown and manicured. The appearance shows it. The colas are a very light green, almost white as they covered in more trichome crystals than I have ever seen before. Not to mention, the long perfect orange hairs complete the immaculate look.

Aroma

Not only was I blown away with the appearance, but the nose was crazy unique. The first whiff is pure candy, a very familiar scent, identical to sweet tarts. However over time the nose opened up and I began to pick up more of traditional sweet blueberry notes. Both the very unique aroma and super saiyan appearance could be indicators this is a blueberry cross and not cut, I am torn in what to believe.

The Inhale

The inhale is composed of sweet blueberries complemented by delicate pink lemonade notes. Similar to smarties the flavor profile of the inhale begins with a lot of sweetness. After that initial sweetness, a tangy tartness emerges.

The Exhale

The exhale goes in a much different direction, as the we see an exit of the blueberry notes as well as the tanginess. We instead see the sweetness of the inhale evolve into delicious burnt candy and herbal notes in the exhale.

The Smoking Experience

I am finding a lot of joy in the smoking experience of this small batch drop. One thing I enjoy about doing reviews, is that it reminds me to be present when smoking. To not get distracted by life and instead focus on the moment, the flower, the time, energy and love that went into it. To truly take in the entire experience.

The High

The high of this strain has me stuck. I am like so high. I like to get really stoned before i get on a plane and this morning I did not have too much time to smoke. Nonetheless this Mamey’s drop was the perfect stone. It got me to the perfect space in a just a couple of bowls in a bong.

So was The Legend of Malachi worth the money and would I buy it again?

Yes and Yes. Without a doubt! If you are looking for a top-shelf small batch experience you cannot go wrong with any Mamey’s Bodega drop, but I can confirm you will especially like The Legend of Malachi if you are lucky enough to get your hands on it.
