Legato by Virtuoso and The Smugglers Club

Next up for review is Legato by Virtuoso and The Smugglers Club. This too is very special, incredibly unique and an extremely sought after jar. While I have been following both Virtuoso and The Smugglers Club since 2020, this is my first time trying their flowers.

Legato

Genetics of Legato

Legato is not a strain I am familiar with, and as of writing this, has zero footprint on the internet. Now looking at the name, you might be led to believe this is a Gelato cross, however the nose and flavor lead me to believe it is something very different. In terms of the genetics, I am not able to identify the strain characteristics and don’t believe I have seen them before.

Legato

Appearance

It is worth noting, Virtuoso grew these flowers in living soil using no chemical nutrients. That makes the appearance of the flowers even more impressive. These are expertly cultivated exquisite flowers that I would describe as a light green hue with dark green highlights with long orange hairs and and an immaculate layer of perfect trichome crystals.

Legato

Aroma

If I was only looking at the photos and knew the name Legato, I would guess this might be a Legend OG crossed with Gelato, however the nose would strongly disagree. The nose is incredibly unique and has characteristics not normally seen. It took me quite a bit to identify the scents, but I would describe the aroma as a mix of floral, rose, and spice notes complemented by very delicate sweet notes.

The Inhale

The flavor profile is just as unique as the aroma. Surprisingly we see the inhale going in a very different direction as it is made up of delicious subtle coffee and wood notes complemented by delicate creamy vanilla notes. Creamy notes, when done the right way, are very enjoyable on the palate.

The Exhale

The expansive exhale can sneak up on you if you are not careful. Also worth noting in the exhale–you see a lot of the same characteristics seen in the aroma. I would describe the flavor profile as a mix of rose and spice notes complemented by just a bit of the creaminess carried over from the inhale.

The Smoking Experience

I am not going to lie–the expansive exhale got me a couple times while taking bong rips. Otherwise it’s an exceptionally smooth smoking, clean burning, veganic, living soil smoking experience of flowers grown with no chemicals.

The High

The high of these flowers is very clean and functional. I am finding it to be not too heavy and great for use any time of the day.

So was Legato by Virtuoso and The Smugglers Club worth the money and would I buy it again?

Yes and Yes. I am really enjoying exploring living soil-grown flowers and Virtuoso has grown an exceptional batch of unique flowers. If you see you Smugglers Club or Virtuoso, swoop it up quick.

Where can Legato be found?

These flowers can be found at the more boutique distributors. I got mine from the Premier Los Angeles delivery service Imperial Club.
