#33 Scottie Pippen by the Backpack Boyz and 5 Points has everything I look for in Zaza. An incredible, complex fruit-filled bursting flavor profile, a standout smooth smoking experience, and one the cleanest burning flowers of 2020. #whiteash. The strain just needs to become more accessible and not used as a tool to price gouge.
Frostiez by Nero’s Cutt @frostiez_official
I find consistent quality with all the Nero’s Cutt strains, but Frostiez is my favorite. Frostiez by Nero’s Cutt is an extremely unique strain grown by experienced cultivators who know what they are doing. The rich chocolate earthy flavor profile and impeccably smooth smoking experience make this a must-have strain.
LA Kush Cake by LA Kush @lakush.ca
I have recently voiced my disappointment regarding a recent trend of large cannabis companies releasing poor-quality flowers. LA Kush has done the opposite. As they have grown bigger, I have seen their quality increase, granted they were the best of the best out of the gate. It’s great to see such a large organization take so much pride in their product and work so hard on quality control. I was stuck on LA Kush Cake by LA Kush for a good few months. It really helped me get through the beginning of the pandemic. The cakey gassy flavor profile is a part of my DNA. Is it a part of yours?

While being very familiar with the Gooniez, Dubz Garden, The Peanut Breath Legend, was new to me. Teaming up with the Gooniez, he did not disappoint, coming with consistent quality and flavor profiles the best aspire to cultivate. Not to mention, the strain Oreoz really impressed me. To see peppery, earthy, herbal notes with a dash of sweetness marry together, creating a rich chocolate flavor profile was profound.

Street legend Deep Freeze Treehouse and legendary cultivator The Gooniez teamed up to bring us the Butter and Jelly. Ish was so good Ray J was on TV talking about it. No, but seriously though, peanut butter and jelly, come on! Madness. Deep Freeze Treehouse has been dropping all sorts of new strains since like a supreme store. Some more notable strains include Blue Pagoni, Galactic Madine, and Peanut Butter and Jealous.
2020 Zazas Final Thoughts
If you take a step back, you can see a few patterns with all my choices—consistent quality flowers with game-changing flavor profiles that burn to a very clean white ash with a very pleasurable smooth smoking experience. What do you look for in your flowers? What flowers did you have the best experience with in 2020? Who would you give a 2020 Zaza to?
In the end, I would want to remind everyone these are my opinions around experiences I have had, which are very subjective. I would encourage everyone looking to try these strains to check the label before purchasing to ensure they are getting fresh flowers and have a similarly excellent experience. 2020 Zazas Out!
