White Truffle by Joshwax
Next up for review is a newcomer to the blog, Joshwax, with the strain White Truffle. This is my first time trying flowers from the cultivator Joshwax, as well as my first time trying the strain White Truffle.
Genetics
While I have not tried this specific strain, I have spent plenty of time with its parents, as Peanut Butter Breath and Gorilla Glue make up the genetics.
Appearance
These flowers have a breathtaking appearance, as the flowers appear snow-kissed and covered in shining white trichome crystals. Underneath the layer of trichomes, you will find a mix of deep dark purple and green hues. Also worth noting, I am pleased with the nugs in my bag. I got a nice variety of nice-sized buds.
Aroma
The aroma is a mix of sharp, funky, musky notes complemented by delicate peanut butter and soft glue notes. The nose is very familiar yet very different. You can definitely find both parents in the nose while also a new creation.
The Inhale & The Exhale
The inhale of White Truffle by Joshwax consists of sharp woody notes with very subtle vanilla glue and delicate peanut butter notes. In contrast, the exhale consists of smooth, woody musky notes complemented by light gas notes.
The Smoking Experience
Smooth, smooth, and more smooth. This strain has a surprisingly smooth smoking experience, as Peanut Butter Breath, for the most part, tends to be one of the harsher smoking strains. Lastly, this strain is an excellent example of the evolution of strains taking the best characteristics of two strains and pushing those characteristics forward in a new strain.
The High
I burned through this bag while on the road in Texas. Cali weed just hits different in other states, especially Texas. Walking into a bar, restaurant, or hotel right after chiefing in Texas will usually lead to interesting looks and a few comments. #zerofux
I found White Truffle by Joshwax had a heavier head high complemented by a gentle body high. This strain got me into the perfect headspace while on the road, making me feel right at home.
So was White Truffle by Joshwax worth the money, and would I repurchase it?
Yes, and Yes. I am very impressed and looking forward to trying more Joshwax. I have seen stores that carry Joshwax ounces in my favorite black jar at a slightly discounted rate. I got my eyes on one of those bad boys next.
Where can you find the White Truffle by Joshwax?
As of late, I have been spending more time in Long Beach and have been exploring different dispensaries there. I have been having an outstanding experience at Catalyst and keep going back. Initially, I used to go to the one on 2nd, but lately heading out to Pine, where I got this jar, and hitting up La’Opera after. Catch me at the bar.
