The Alcatraz Strain
There have been a few different Cannabis Companies on my radar that I have wanted to dig deeper into, and the strain Alcatraz has all of them collaborating. Alcatraz is brought to us by Deep in the Bag, Shopping Carts 415, and Mount Burnin 415.
Genetics
Alcatraz is the next-level cross of Zkittles, Animal Land, and Triangle Kush bx2, also known as the LA Pop Rocks Pheno.
Appearance
The flowers have some bright green highlights, the likes of which I haven’t seen in quite a well. Nevertheless, the flowers are a fantastic mix of deep purples, light, bright greens, stunning long stringy orange hairs, with splashes of white from the perfectly formed trichome crystals.
Aroma
The nose is the most insane super sweet juicy candy cherry and berry notes. At the same time, delicate gas notes complement the sweet profile.
The Inhale & The Exhale
Sharp, sweet, woody, earthy notes complimented by soft cherry notes make up the inhale. While in contrast, the exhale goes in a delicious earthy candy gas direction.
The Smoking Experience
I was very impressed with these flowers. Clearly, these flowers have been grown and cured the right way. With a very smooth smoke, clean burn, inviting nose, and unique flavor, these flowers have a great smoking experience.
The High
The high was a great mix of head and body. I actively cleaned my house and wrote this review while enjoying a great smoking experience and fantastic high.
So was Alcatraz worth the money, and would I repurchase it?
Yes, and yes. I had somewhat high expectations, and boy did this supergroup deliver above and beyond. Alcatraz can toe to toe with any of the top-shelf strains in the dispensary today.
Where can Alcatraz by Deep in the Bag, Shopping Carts 415, and Mount Burnin 415 be found?
I believe today, you can only find Alcatraz in the streets. However, with Mount Burnin and Shopping Carts getting their product on the shelves of many dispensaries, it would not surprise me if you see this strain also becoming more widely available.
