Etherium by the Fire Society Strain Review

Etherium and The Fire Society Background

While Etherium is more commonly known as a form of crypto-currency and crypto-standard for purchasing crypto art, the Etherium I will discuss today is the weed strain grown by The Fire Society. I am a big fan of The Fire Society and have done some reviews of their flowers in the past. Also worth noting, it is common for Jokes Up to team up with the Fire Society to release strains and brands through compliant dispensaries. A recent example of this was Gumbo.

Genetics of Etherium

After spending some time digging into the nose and flavor profile, I still struggle to identify the genetics. After doing some research online, I found that Etherium is the cross of Ether and F1. Furthermore, Ether is a cut of Alien Dawg, which is the cross of Alien Technology and Chemdawg. I believe the F1 is referencing the F1 used to create F1 Durb, which later went on to be part of the cross of GSC and Cherry Pie. F1 has an unknown lineage coming from the Bay Area cultivator Jigga. If this is the case, I think it is awesome they are bringing back such an old-school strain, and I would love to see more cultivators do the same.

Appearance

All the Etherium flowering tops in my jar were of an adequate size and were just the right density. While there is some Sativa in that there buds, they still retain a hybrid look. The buds are a light green hue highlighted by delicate deep purple leaves and thick orange hairs covered in a powdery layer of resinous trichomes.

Aroma of Etherium by The Fire Society

As I mentioned earlier, I spent some time digging into the nose of Etherium and struggled to identify the genetics. It has a unique and different aroma, which I usually look for in this Gelato world we live in. I would describe the nose of Etherium by The Fire Society as a mix of sour, musky, gassy, and earthy notes.

The Inhale and The Exhale of Etherium

The inhale of Etherium by The Fire Society begins with sharp, earthy notes complimented by delicate wood notes. At times, the light wood notes almost felt nutty, making it unique and very different from an OG’s earthiness. While in contrast, I found the exhale to evolve into a complex mix of musky, sour, gassy notes.

The Smoking Experience

Growing up on Sour Diesel, Headband, and Chemdawg, it only makes sense that I love gas, and I am not afraid to find myself in the middle of a Sativa Field. So, of course, I will love this unique twist on earthy notes complimented so well by the gas notes.

The High

I found the high of Etherium to be a pleasant, uplifting, energizing head high complemented by a subtle body high. To be precise, I feel the Sativa lineage made a good appearance in the high.

So was it worth the money, and would I repurchase it?

Yes and Yes. I have always been pleased with every jar of The Fire Society that I purchase. While the quality is consistently top of the top shelf, often you can find it priced at $60 an eighth. I encourage many people to try this strain as it is different from everything else out there. We should reward those cultivators trying to push boundaries and expose people to unique strains.

Where can Etherium by The Fire Society be found?

On a recent trip to the Bay Area, I had big plans to grab a bunch of The Fire Society jars as they are usually easier to find up North. However, I ended up getting mine from Cookies on Melrose, where the menu hasn’t seen an update in four days, and everything you went there to buy is currently out of stock.
