King Louie by The Cure Company

I love finding and checking out new dispensaries. With so many years of access, its hard to guess how many I have been to in California.

Outside of California, I have probably been close to 100 different dispensaries spread out across the states that have legalized it.

I enjoy going to Denver and taking myself on a walking tour of breweries stopping at every pot club past. I like to grab any flowers that impress me and a preroll to smoke for the walk. Denver is the only place to pass a law allowing public consumption of cannabis. After 4 breweries and 5 dispensaries on the walk you will want to move there.

When Nevada legalized medical marijuana, for a good period of time prior to them legalizing recreational, they were the one place that allowed out of state medical patients. I spent about a month in some nice suites in Las Vegas hitting up Reef trying to get my hands on the Riff Raff Lamborghini Leg Lock Strain.

Oregon is just bonkers….most inexpensive flowers in the world due to too much inventory. Granted there is still top shelf and often is almost pricey but due to tuff competition there are constantly sales that make it a very good deal.

Canada is amazing. Incredibly smart and technical people there. The type of folks that excel at growing really good Cannabis. I really enjoyed the Flowers I had there since they went legal and the hash I had there prior to them legalizing it.

I spent a lot of time smoking Cali🔥 on the streets of Chicago and am excited to get back to explore their clubs. Also I can wait to get to the east coast to check out Boston and New York when it comes around.

Now with all that said the Best Dispensaries are in California. Now you might need to visit a few before you find a really good one as there is a lot of them.

Some new clubs I am enjoying as of late are CannaHarbor, LA Kush and LA’s DTPG (Downtown Patients Group).

DTPG is the home of Nipsey Hussle’s Marathon OG by The Cure Company, which I previously reviewed on this blog and have linked below.

Now it was Marathon OG that put the DTPG on my radar, but it is more than just good weed that goes into a good dispensary experience.

A good selection of flowers, concentrates and edibles at a reasonable price, a knowledgeable helpful friendly stoned but not too stoned staff, a clean well lit storefront and for me hard to find unique game changing strains.

So on my most recent visit to DTPG I picked up King Louie by the Cure Company, the same folks who grew Nipsey’s Marathon OG.

So what is the lineage of King Louie? Let’s take a look at the break down of the genetics. King Louie is OG Kush crossed with LA Confidential.

LA Confidential is a cross of two different Afghani strains. One a a more traditional Afghani hash plant from the Afghan region and the other an Afghani variant with LA Roots.

Where OG Kush, the king of kings, is a cross Chemdawg and Hindu Kush. It is debated what OG means. Some say it means Ocean Grown as it was grown in NorCal by Josh D near the coast. Others say the acronym means overgrown or the meaning Ice T made popular Original Gangster.

Taking into account the genetic history, you can understand how we got to ⛽️. as when opening the jar, you are greeted with a piney pungent gassy aroma.

The buds are large, a darker shade of light green in color, covered in resinous crystals and dark orange hairs.

With such a great nose, the pungent earthy skunky gassy sour inhale is almost expected.

The exhale takes a nice peppery musky turn with the earthy gassy skunky funk is still slightly present.

The high is a clean, detached head high. The high is great to help with pain relief, increasing appetite or making it easier for you to give Zerofucks.

So was it worth the money and would I buy it again? Yes. The flowers were just as top shelf as the Marathon OG and reasonably priced.
