Seabiscuit A2 by Joshwax
Next up for review is Seabiscuit A2 by Joshwax. I recently tried Joshwax for the first time, reviewing his White Truffle strain. Learning more about organic soil-grown flowers, I wanted to dive deeper and try Joshwax’s flagship strain, Seabiscuit A2. It is worth noting all of Joshwax’s flowers are grown in living soil with no chemicals.
Genetics
Seabiscuit A2 is a pure afghan strain that came from a seed that Joshwax popped himself and undoubtedly has some Lebron James genetics for a landrace strain. I heard rooms of seeds were popped to find this specific cutt.
Landrace cannabis strains are pure, indigenous varieties of marijuana. They evolved over hundreds of years in specific regions of the world. Furthermore, these strains have adapted to their local climate and growing conditions. Moreover, these strains are known for their unique characteristics and genetics.
Many consider Landrace strains the “purest” forms of cannabis. Even more so, historically many have used these purest forms of cannabis as the basis for breeding new hybrid strains. For instance, some examples include Afghan, Thai, Durban Poison, Lambs Bread, and Acapulco Gold.
Appearance
These flowers have a super saiyan twist on the original appearance of the landrace strain. The large colas have a hash plant-like appearance covered in so many trichomes it gives the flowering tops a light green hue. Additionally, underneath the layer of perfectly formed resinous trichome crystals, you find a mix of dark green and deep purple almost grey hues with short orange hairs scattered about.
Aroma
Sweet woody notes complemented by delicate gas and candy notes with light hints of glue make up the complex nose for this small-batch living soil strain.
The Inhale & The Exhale
The inhale of Seabiscuit A2 by Joshwax consists of sweet musky doughy woody notes, while in contrast, the exhale continues the theme with sharp, musky notes complemented by hints of glue.
The Smoking Experience
The unique flavor profile and incredibly pristine clean burn of these soil-grown organic flowers lead to one of the best smoking experiences. As of late, I enjoy the flavor profiles that differ from the trends where we see some cultivators carving out their own lanes.
The High
The indica dominant super saiyan strain packs quite a punch. So get ready for a heavy high and some couch time. I found this strain great for decompressing and relaxing. Then, from a medicinal perspective, it would be good for battling insomnia or anxiety.
So was Seabiscuit A2 worth the money, and would I repurchase it?
Yes, and Yes. In the early days of 215, many landrace strains were readily available. It was common for my friends and me to smoke on Lambs Bread, Durban Poison, and Afghani. Good landrace cuts were floating around the bay during that golden era, but nothing like Joshwax’s Seabiscuit.
Unquestionably, Seabiscuit A2 by Joshwax is a very unique cut of a classic strain that everyone needs to take time to go and try.
Where can you find Seabiscuit A2 by Joshwax?
You can find Joshwax strains at a variety of SoCal dispensaries. I purchased my Seabiscuit from Green Goddess in Venice Beach. They have a lot of varying daily deals and reasonable prices.
