When you got a little bit of the streets in you and some swagger you find yourself in very interesting places…
A Vietnamese coffee shop that is also a strip club, a karaoke lounge that is an after hours club, a clothing store with a backroom with every pair of Jordens or in a bodega liquor store where you can buy weed.
A friend from the bay recently came out to visit me and told me about their experience buying some rare amazing craft beer and getting the chance to also purchase some 🔥.. Man I miss the bay…
With quite a few options available, they ended up picking the Tres Leches by Taste Deez Treatz.
Coming in a Mylar Bag, similar to that of the early Runtz releases, it has a picture of a slice of actual Tres Leches Cake next to a big bud.
The actual Tres Leches Cake is a three layer cake made with four variants of milk/diary. The cake is a creamy sweet delight.
The Tres Leches Strain which does a noted job of tasting like the actual cake has some fascinating genetics as it is Cookies and Cream crossed with Koolato.
Let’s break those down even further. Koolato is the explosive cross of GSC, Gelato33 and Face on Fire. While Cookies and Cream is an unknown phenotype of GSC crossed with Starfighter.
And it is Starfighter that gives both Tres Leches and Mac a compelling sweet funky earthy lavender citrus foundation taken in very different directions.
The Tres Leches Flower has a floral nose with strong notes of lavender complemented with lighter notes lemony citrus and cinnamon
The inhale is pleasant mix of sweet cinnamon creaminess, with the cream notes very reminiscent of the condensed milk flavor found in every bite of a Tres Leches Cake.
The exhale is dominated by floral and lavender notes complemented by light sweet creamy notes. The lavender notes are very curious as they almost come across like a citrus profile.
The combined profile of floral and sweet lingering in your throat comes across like a Dulce de Leche (carmel) or honey.
The high is clear headed, uplifting, happy and energetic. Great for a night out on the town, a productive lazy sunday or hanging at a cannabis lounge.
Was it worth the money and would I buy it again? Yes if you are lucky enough to find it, very much top shelf smoke.
