Unicorn Blood by Mamey’s Bodega
Next up for review is the very rare and special Unicorn Blood by Mamey’s Bodega. Also, I have featured flowers from Mamey’s Bodega a few times on my blog and have had a consistently good experience every time.
The Genetics of Unicorn Blood
This cultivar is proprietary, making the genetics of this strain unknown. However, you will know what it is once you smell and taste it, Lemon Cherry Gelato.
Moreover, you are missing out if you are a fan of LCGs and have yet to try Mamey’s drops. Mamey’s Bodega has been procuring some of the best LCG on the market, similar to Mount Burnin.
Appearance
These flowers have a traditional Lemon Cherry Gelato look about them. As expected, the colas are purple, for the most part, with mid-tone green highlights, nice groupings of orange hairs, and tons of perfectly formed trichome crystals.
Aroma
Hello old friend. The nose is even better than LCG in its prime. So loud, so musky. The nose is a combination of musky sour cherry notes complemented by delicate cream notes.
The Inhale & The Exhale
The inhale begins with deep, dark cherry notes with tones of delicate sweetness, not soon before evolving into dominant creamy notes with tiny hints of earthiness.
The Smoking Experience
The smoking experience, like everything else with this strain, does not disappoint. The flowers burn clean, with an impressive dynamic flavor profile and one of the most pristine clean highs I have had in all of 2022.
The High
The high was beyond inspirational. I got deep into my creative space, creating four different things simultaneously without even realizing it. It is an immaculate, clear-headed high that puts me in the perfect head space. Unicorn Blood is the cultivar I would bring to the deserted island.
So was Unicorn Blood by Mamey’s Bodega worth the money, and would I repurchase it?
Yes, and Yes. I have been missing these expertly grown cultivars that go way over and beyond the top shelf. A level of quality you do not find in stores packed with mass-produced cannabis. Not to mention, this is one of the best, if not the best, Lemon Cherry Gelato cutt I have had in my life.
