The Mamey Milk Strain

Next up for review, sticking with the Mamey’s Bodega brand is Mamey’s Milk. Mamey Milk was the first strain that Mamey’s Bodega released. The packaging is a die-cut bag in the shape of a milk carton. However, this is no regular milk but instead the milk of the exotic fruit, Mamey Sapote.

Genetics

The delicious fruit Mamey Sapote originated from Latin America and Mexico. Wikipedia describes the fruit’s texture as creamy and soft, and the flavor as a mix of sweet potato, pumpkin, honey, prune, peach, apricot, cantaloupe, cherry, and almond. I believe the flowers are a unique, complex LCG cherry-dominated cutt in line with the fruit it pays homage to.

Appearance

An impressive layer of resinous trichome crystals coats the flowers. Underneath which, you can make out some deep dark purples with splashes of orange from the long hairs with a few subtle green highlights scattered about. A classic LCG look.

Aroma

Musky, sweet funky cherry notes dominate the inviting nose. Digging in deeper, I find some herbal notes complemented by very delicate lemon citrus notes.

The Inhale & The Exhale

The flavor profile does not disappoint, and I believe it continues to pay homage to the exotic fruit. The inhale is a mix of musky, creamy bright bursting cherry and berry fruit flavors complemented by delicate citrus notes. While in contrast, the fruit flavors taper off in the exhale, leaving lingering musky herbal notes.

The Smoking Experience

Most high-quality weed was very expansive back in the day, and you don’t see it as consistently these days. That is not the case with both Mamey strains I tried. I am finding the smooth yet ever-expanding smoke to have me coughing, leaving me with an intense head high. This is a good thing.

The High

I am finding the stone of this batch to have a hefty head high with very little body high. These flowers are something I would smoke while watching Yellow Submarine on Polkadot Mushrooms and also on Thursdays (Friday Jr.).

So was Mamey Milk worth the money, and would I repurchase it?

Yes, and Yes. I was very impressed with the complex flavor and expansive smoking experience. No question, everything I have tried from Mamey’s Bodega is some of the best on the market.

Where can you find Mamey Milk by Mamey’s Bodega?

I have been seeing more and more people vendoring Mamey’s Bodega strains. However, I don’t believe dispensaries carry their products as of this moment. I got mine from my favorite boutique delivery service in LA, Imperial Club.
